Restaurant & Bar Renovation

We were thrilled to partner with Laura and Danny from Hearts and Minds on the complete renovation of their restaurant and the creation of a unique Speakeasy Whiskey Bar in Toukley. 

As a proud Central Coast business, it was an exciting opportunity for our team to help bring this distinctive hospitality vision to life.

The renovation required a complete reconfiguration of the existing layout: relocating the dining area to the rear, installing a new kitchen, and constructing an entirely new bar. 

From the outset, we worked closely with Laura and Danny, as well as the other trades on site, to ensure every electrical component supported both the function and aesthetic of the new design.

Our involvement began with carefully isolating and relocating existing electrical cables to prepare the site for demolition. Once the new framing was in place, we coordinated with the building and design teams to install:

• Full electrical wiring for the new kitchen and bar areas
• Feature lighting to enhance atmosphere and visual appeal
• Strategically placed power outlets for functionality and safety

As the renovation progressed, we fine-tuned the electrical layout to accommodate design changes and ensure a seamless integration of all systems.

When it came time to bring the lighting design to life, we installed:

• Low-glare downlights for ambient lighting
• Extensive LED strip lighting to define architectural features
• Stained-glass wall lights and matching pendants to capture the Speakeasy’s unique charm

Despite the challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns, our collaborative approach ensured the project stayed on track. The finished space perfectly reflects Laura and Danny’s vision: a relaxed and character-filled bar and dining area that’s quickly become a local favourite.
