Private Pole Installation

We recently completed a Level 2 private pole installation for a client in Noraville. The project was initiated after significant renovations on a neighbouring property required the separation of a shared electrical pole. 

Our client needed a reliable and compliant new connection to maintain uninterrupted power supply and future-proof their property.

Following an on-site consultation, Lachlan from the Impact Electrical team met with the client to discuss the scope of work and assess the best installation approach. From there, we provided a detailed and transparent quotation outlining each stage of the project.

Behind the scenes, our administration team managed all necessary Ausgrid applications, ensuring the process moved swiftly and without complications. Once approvals were received, the job was scheduled and coordinated for completion in a single day.

The project involved several key stages:

• Private pole installation: Coordination with contractors to install a new timber private pole and perform underboring beneath the driveway.
• Trenching and cabling: The Impact team completed all additional trenching and installed underground consumer mains from the new pole to the property’s switchboard.
• Switchboard upgrade: Installation of a new powder-coated switchboard, designed for durability in coastal conditions.
• Safety and compliance: All circuit breakers were upgraded to safety switches, ensuring compliance with current Australian standards.

Once installation was complete, we performed mandatory electrical testing and ensured the site was left clean and tidy.

Through efficient planning, teamwork, and precise execution, we delivered a seamless one-day installation that provided our client with a safe, compliant, and future-ready electrical setup with minimal inconvenience during the process.
